‘To Fathom the Master’s Grand Design’ is the new, sixth album for the Danish extreme metal institution. Following the highly acclaimed ‘World of Tombs’, this new frontal attack is even more brutal, dark, replete with vitriol and utterly caustic. Written over the course of five years, slowly, like the serpent Ouroboros eating it’s own tail, material took form and evolved into this manifest of malignancy describing the destruction of man. History has proven that evil exists on many planes, from the forces of nature to the human psyche. The higher laws of nature are cruel and unrelenting, without sense or remorse, nor compassion for mankind…
The entire record was approached with a no holds barred and no restrictions work effort, resulting in a musical equivalent to an epicenter slowly spreading death and destruction. The most diverse material ever, yet still unquestionably true to the band’s formula, the album delivers equally fast and furious punkish black metal and heavy crushing doomy metal!
Horned Almighty have recently teamed up with Bullet Booking and will perform live at the Aalborg Metal Festival – with Bloodbath, Primordial, Cattle Decapitation – on November 9th.
